Position Summary

The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and improving the sales operations of the company. This includes managing and optimizing sales processes, systems, and tools to enhance the productivity and performance of the sales team. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and IT, to drive revenue growth and ensure operational excellence.


Essential Job Functions

  • Develop and implement sales strategies, processes, and policies to drive sales efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage SOW review process and orchestrate the completion and organization of RFIs.
  • Analyze sales data, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to establish sales quotas, targets, and territories, and monitor their attainment.
  • Manage and optimize the sales forecasting process to provide accurate and timely sales projections.
  • Evaluate and improve sales methodologies, including sales training, onboarding, and coaching programs.
  • Ensure the availability and effective use of sales tools and technologies, such as CRM systems, sales analytics, and reporting tools.
  • Conduct regular reviews of sales processes and workflows to identify bottlenecks and streamline operations.
  • Work with marketing teams to align sales and marketing efforts, including lead generation, lead nurturing, and customer segmentation.
  • Collaborate with finance to develop and manage sales budgets, commission plans, and incentive programs.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations to sales leadership and senior management.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and drive initiatives to enhance sales productivity.
  • Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects aimed at improving overall business performance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to sales operations.
  • Work with the sales team to coordinate trade shows, this includes pre-event planning, onsite management, and post event evaluation.
  • Other tasks and projects, as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in sales operations, sales analytics, or a related role within a sales organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and draw actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • In-depth knowledge of sales processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with sales performance metrics, KPIs, and sales forecasting techniques.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and contribute to the development of sales strategies.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire sales teams.
  • Proficiency in G Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Travel up to 25%.
